Popis (anglicky):

Timestamp is a 2025 Ukrainian documentary film written and directed by Kateryna Gornostai. It presents a mosaic of everyday school life for teachers and students across war-torn Ukraine, from cities like Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Borodianka, Bucha, and others, filmed between March 2023 and June 2024. Without voice-overs, interviews, or reenactments, the film captures the profound impact of Russia's invasion on education: classes in air raid shelters or subways, bombed-out buildings, online graduations, funerals for school staff killed in strikes, and youth learning survival skills like applying tourniquets. It highlights resilience amid pain, with moments of joy like dances, selfies, and ceremonies, showing how war normalizes trauma while communities persevere. Selected for the 75th Berlin International Film Festival's main competition, the 125-minute co-production from Ukraine, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and France emphasizes hope and continuity in learning as resistance. Director: Kateryna Gornostai. As a documentary featuring real teachers and students in an ensemble format.
