Popis (anglicky):

First Moon is an Australian horror film from 2025 directed by Peter McLeod. The film follows Jessica, a young waitress played by Lauren Esposito, who is kidnapped by a religious cult convinced that she is infected with a sexually transmitted werewolf virus. The cult attempts to cure her or else kill her before the first full moon arrives. The film takes place largely in a single location and combines elements of a chamber drama with the werewolf mythos. Jessica is confronted with violent and sadistic characters, including the fanatical Father Torquemada and Thomas, played by Julian Curtis, with whom she develops a complex relationship. Shannon Ryan plays Elyse, another important role in the story. The film focuses on the credibility of the cult and the reality of the virus, making blind religious belief a central theme. First Moon is characterized by strong visual moments and an original plot, but is criticized for its long-winded second act and lack of tension. The main characters are Lauren Esposito, Julian Curtis, and Shannon Ryan.
