De Avonturen Van Charlie Brown is the Dutch release title of the animated feature A Boy Named Charlie Brown, based on Charles M Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip. The film follows the insecure yet determined Charlie Brown as he enters a school spelling bee, unexpectedly wins, and advances to the national competition in New York City. Along the way he faces self doubt, pressure, and humorous setbacks, supported by his loyal friends Linus and Snoopy and pestered by the ever critical Lucy. The story blends gentle comedy, music, and moments of melancholy, presenting a character study of perseverance in the face of repeated failure and anxiety. It is notable as the first Peanuts theatrical feature and retains the simple visual style and reflective tone of the comic strip. Main voice actors include Peter Robbins as Charlie Brown, Pamelyn Ferdin as Lucy Van Pelt, and Glenn Gilger as Linus Van Pelt. The director is Bill Melendez.
