Popis (anglicky):

Materialists is a romantic comedy directed by Celine Song. Set in New York, the film follows Lucy, an ambitious matchmaker played by Dakota Johnson. Lucy works at an exclusive matchmaking agency and has already arranged nine marriages, but struggles with her own ideas about love and relationships. She believes that a partner should primarily provide financial security and sees marriage as a business agreement. At a wedding, she meets Harry, a wealthy and charming man played by Pedro Pascal, who courts her. At the same time, she runs into her ex John, a poor aspiring actor played by Chris Evans. Lucy is confronted with the question of what is really important in a relationship: money and status or true love and connection. Through her experiences with her clients and her own dilemmas, Lucy discovers that romance cannot be planned and that true love does not always match her professional criteria. The film plays with the classic love triangle and raises questions about materialism, superficiality, and the search for true love in a modern world.
