Popis (anglicky):

28 Years Later is a post-apocalyptic horror film from 2025, directed by Danny Boyle. The film is set 28 years after the outbreak of the Rage virus. A small group of survivors live on a remote island connected to the mainland by a tidal road. Among them are Jamie, his sick wife Isla, and their son Spike.

When Isla falls ill, Spike decides to leave the island with her to seek help. They travel through a dangerous world ravaged by the infected and meet Erik, a survivor of a stranded naval patrol. They discover a baby born uninfected to a pregnant infected woman, offering hope for a new future.

They eventually find Dr. Kelson, a radical doctor who has built a monument in memory of the dead. He tells them that Isla has terminal cancer and helps her die with dignity. After her death, Spike returns to the island, but feels out of place and leaves again for the mainland. There he is rescued by a cult-like group of survivors led by a man named Jimmy.

The film combines intense suspense with themes of hope, loss, and human resilience in a devastated world.
