Three years after the end of the Jurassic World trilogy—each film of which grossed over $1 billion worldwide—the successful Jurassic series takes an ingenious new turn with Jurassic World: Rebirth. Together, they must obtain DNA samples from the three largest creatures living on land, in the sea, and in the air. The film also features renowned actors Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. It is directed by dynamic filmmaker Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) from a script by David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Jurassic Park. Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the world has become largely uninhabitable for dinosaurs. The remaining dinosaurs live in isolated areas around the equator, where the climate most closely resembles what it was like long ago. The three largest creatures in this tropical biosphere are the key to a miracle cure that could save the lives of many people. Oscar® nominee Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett, an expert in covert missions, who leads an experienced team tasked with securing the genetic material of the three largest dinosaurs on Earth. After encountering a family whose boat has been attacked by dinosaurs at sea, Zora and her team become stranded on an island. There, they stumble upon a dark and shocking secret that has been hidden from the world for decades. Mahershala Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, Zora's trusted team leader, Jonathan Bailey (Wicked, Bridgerton) is paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (Homeland, Obi-Wan Kenobi) is pharmaceutical representative Martin Krebs, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer, Murder on the Orient Express) plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked family. The cast is rounded out by Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben's family, and Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) as members of Zora and Krebs' crews. Jurassic World: Rebirth is directed by BAFTA winner Gareth Edwards from a script by Koepp (War of the Worlds) based on the characters created by Michael Crichton. The film is produced by Oscar® nominee Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime producers on the Jurassic franchise and also the blockbuster Twisters. The film's executive producers are Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer.
