Beetlejuice Barbara and Adam Maitland are involved in a serious car accident. When they return home, they realize that they are no longer alive. Their house is sold and the new owners want to transform it into an eccentric building. The Maitlands find this very difficult and realize that they can scare the new owners as ghosts. But they soon realize that life after death is not that simple. If they want to haunt the house, they will first have to learn how it works. Even though they get help from Juno, the new owners prove to be very well equipped to deal with eerie noises and strange forces.
