Weapons is a mysterious horror film from 2025, written, produced, and directed by Zach Cregger, known as the imaginative creator of Barbarian. The film tells the intriguing and sinister story of seventeen children from the same class who disappear without a trace on the same night, at exactly the same time. Only one child, Alex Lilly, remains behind.

The film is divided into six chapters, with the story told from different perspectives, including that of the class teacher Justine Gandy, one of the fathers of the missing children, a police officer, a burglar, and Alex herself. While the community wonders what happened to the children, Justine becomes the prime suspect and is confronted with suspicion, isolation, and personal struggles.

In addition, a mysterious woman with clown-like makeup plays a dark role in the story, using something like sympathetic magic to influence the environment and the missing children. The film interweaves themes of fear, distrust, control, and the intangible, leaving many questions unanswered to keep the viewer in suspense and mystery.

'Weapons' combines horror with a deeper psychological and symbolic layer, with the dénouement and the true nature of the events challenging the viewer to continue to think and discuss the meaning and implications of the story.
